I’ve been using for a week and I do want to say I have genuinely the most sensitive skin probably in the world. I can’t use a lot of “gentle” cleansers and lotions because I still either break out in hives or dermatitis that takes months to go away.. HOWEVER this has been very gentle and nice on my skin. I do feel like my skin is softer after a week.

I was interested in ordering a product with bakuchiol and retinal for my 39-year-old skin. I have fine lines, huge pores, textured, dehydrated and sensitive skin. My skin is olive so hyperpigmentation is an issue. Sometimes other ingredients like retinol and vitamin A derivatives are too harsh and my skin can’t tolerate it. I can use this instead or on “off” nights when I don’t want to use stronger ingredients like acids. The instructions on the larger and smaller boxes are well-written, clear, and give you confidence to start trying it out. I think the travel sizes are enough to test if this works for you. Serum - This is a pretty lavender color. I love that for my muted, sallow olive skin tone. It feels lightweight and smooth, not sticky, oily, or heavy at all. I think it would be great for summer. The ingredients contain 18 antioxidant plant extracts, which help with oxidative stress. There is also niacinamide, peptides, glycerin, bakuchiol, beta-glucan, adenosine, and green tea water. It does contain a silicone, if you’re avoiding those. Body lotion - I’m glad this says not to use on your face, because I was totally going to and that would’ve been a terrible idea. I think this is great for KP, my arms felt smooth after but I’m still waiting on the “peeling” effect, and that takes a bit of time and consistent use. I used a quarter of one packet for both arms. It’s thick and I had to rub a bit for it to sink in, but that’s due to the urea. All urea creams do this. It contains glycolic, lactic acid, salicylic acid, retinal, niacinamide, bakuchiol, adenosine and beta-glucan. The pH is 4.2, and I’d love to know what percentage of each acid is included. The Night Cream is bright greenish yellow in color, I think it counteracts any redness. I found it really hydrating and smoothing. My skin felt nourished and comfortable. It didn’t feel heavy or occlusive at all, despite it containing silicone. I like the addition of ceramides, niacinamide, ceramides, glucose, HA, collagen and glycerin. It also contains macadamia oil, seaweed extract, anti-inflammatories (adenosine, a peptide, and beta-glucan), fig extract, and centella asiatica. These ingredients are excellent for skin barrier repair, as well as anti-aging. It does have a scent but not overpowering, just sort of chemically or plastic-y. But it fades quickly. My pores are tight after using this. It does have fatty alcohol in it, if you’re avoiding those. Definitely wear sunscreen after using this! I don’t recommend it more than once a week. My skin can handle a lot, and there was some initial purging after use. Overall, this is a great kit for testing bakuchiol/retinal.

I really enjoyed trying BY WISHTREND Skin Journey Kit. My favorite was the Vitamin A-mazing Bakuchiol body lotion. The yellow formula was thick and creamy but does take a little effort to rub in. However, I felt the difference even after one use. (There are 3 packets.) My skin remained silky for hours after using the lightly sweet, scented body lotion. The Pore Smoothing Bakuchiol Serum 0.33 fl oz was also nice, the scentless light purple opaque formula felt pleasantly hydrating. The Vitamin A-mazing Bakuchiol Night Cream is more subtle with a slight root scent, and unfortunately, I can’t tell from the 0.35 Oz sample size how much of an effect it will have on my skin. It is a little bit lighter than my normal night cream though. This all comes in a cute clear soft plastic travel case with the words, “You are the standard” and accented with a bold blue zipper. (Glad that they added “the” and avoided “You are standard” ...Hehe.)

This is a nice sample of travel size bakuchiol kit to try this brand or this line of products. It is 3 different products, but 5 separate items in a clear vinyl cosmetic case. The serum is an opaque light lavender that felt nice and hydrating but didn’t leave my skin shiny. The night cream is thick, pale yellow, and feels good on the skin. It seemed like it absorbed quickly; but because it was the last step in my routine, I went to bed right after. The body lotion comes in 3 individual packets. It’s quite thick, also pale yellow, and I wouldn’t question it if they called it a cream. This did not seem to absorb well. I really, really had to rub it in to get all the streaks gone. Once I got it all rubbed in, I didn’t notice it again, so it must not have been greasy or tacky. But I also noticed it smelled bad. Not off. Just like maybe it’s unscented and something smells earthy and nutty in a funky way. Overall, I think this would be great for travel, or to sample the line. I liked the facial care products, but I’d personally pass on the lotion in the future.

This set is a great way to test out bakuchiol and see if you like it OR a great travel kit to take instead of full size bottles. I use another brand of bakuchiol and already know that I like this plant based alternative to retinol as it is gentler on my skin. This set comes with small products and a carrying bag-this isn't meant to be a month supply and instead a weekend or week kit to take on the go. The products cover everything you would need to try bakuchiol in a serum, body lotion and evening cream. The serum will leave a light tackiness if you do not apply anything else after but ideally you are applying a moisturizer and then sunscreen in the day and in the evening the evening cream. There was no irritation as bakuchiol is a gentle alternative to retinol as well. The dropper and bottle work well and it's a nice little kit that you can reuse the bag for other products once finished.

This set comes with a serum, night cream and three small packages of body lotion. The serum and cream each contain 1/3 of an ounce. Definitely not enough to see if it’s worth getting a larger size. I guess it could be good for a weekend trip as it may last a few days. I hadn’t heard of this brand but I do like bakuchiol for my skin as it’s gentle. This might be good if you want to try it out but I think the vendor should be honest in their description as to how little product is actually in the set.
