Origins - GinZing Energizing Gel Cream

I really wanted to love this moisturizer because the texture and scent are lovely. However after about a week of use my forehead broke out in whiteheads. I have combination skin that is usually not reactive so this was disappointing. The gel cream itself feels nice going on but the results were not good for my particular skin type.

This moisturizer delivers a dewy post-facial freshness that lasts all day. The lightweight gel cream formula is enriched with caffeine and niacinamide which gives my skin a healthy energized look. Works great under sunscreen. The only reason I am not giving five stars is the essential oils in the formula which could be irritating for very sensitive skin.

If you have oily skin this is probably perfect for you. But for my combination to dry skin it was not moisturizing enough and I felt very tight after a few days. The gel texture is pleasant and the scent is lovely. I just needed more hydration than this could provide on its own. Would recommend layering with a serum.

I was impressed from the first use. The next morning after application my skin felt smooth with no additional greasiness. The gel did a good job of eliminating my flaky spots too. For a product at this price point the quality is excellent and a little goes a long way.

The gel texture makes it glide over skin beautifully and it takes no time to absorb. The citrus ginseng scent is refreshing and feels like a little pick me up for my morning routine. It does not pill under makeup which is important to me. Only giving four stars because I need something heavier during winter months.

Once you apply it, it hydrates your skin instantly and after a couple of minutes it seeps into the skin and does not leave any shininess. This is the best thing about this product. The light citrus scent is refreshing in the morning and it gives my skin a healthy looking glow throughout the day.

I have very oily skin and this gel moisturizer does a great job of hydrating without being too heavy or greasy feeling. I have gone through several tubs already because I love it that much. It absorbs quickly and sits beautifully under my sunscreen and makeup. Finally a moisturizer that does not make my face shine.
